From Principal RENCHER
Greetings Nelsen families and community members,
It’s with great excitement and honor that I introduce myself to the Nelsen Middle School community as your new principal. I began my career in education teaching abroad in Chile, followed by a year in Spain. When I arrived to Renton, I spent my first 5 years as a teacher at Dimmitt Middle School; then 3 years as a high school assistant principal, 2 of those years at Hazen High School; and most recently a year as assistant principal at Lindbergh High School. This is my 9th year in the Renton School District.
During the past 3 years as a high school administrator, I’ve had the opportunity to gain a clear perspective on what students need to be prepared for high school. I look forward to returning to the middle school level to ensure our Nelsen students are prepared and ready for high school when they finish 8th grade.
As the new principal of Nelsen Middle School, one of my goals is to establish and develop positive and professional relationships with the entire Nelsen Middle School community. Our work as educators can only be accomplished through partnership with our community. I’m looking forward to partnering with you to ensure every Nelsen student is successful.
On behalf of the entire Nelsen staff, we thank you for the work you do to support our Nelsen students. We’re all looking forward to a successful upcoming school year.
